but on Fisher's boneheaded play. There was no reason to be so confident that Ariza (sp?) will be able to force his way to make the prayer. He's not a driving force as Wade, but rather a jump shooter. The defensive rotation was pretty good - Kobe had to give up the ball first, and then hope to get it back, but once the ball left his hands, he was doubled, all passing lanes were closed. It was a broken play, and as you could see that Ariza went really awkwardly, therefore the traveling call - a mistake but no reason to believe it's deliberate conspiracy.
If, a big if, the refs really wanted to help Spurs, they could easily have given TD and 1 in both previous possessions when TD took it into the paint. As a matter of fact, if it was LBJ, Wade, or Kobe, it could well be And1 in the traffic. But as a big man, refs usually allow opposing team to rough you up. If refs went this way, nobody can really complain, instead of making it so "obvious" to "help Spurs win".
It was a great game, between 2 contenders, and I really enjoyed the playoff atmosphere.
It was a bad call, but Lakers didn't lose on that one,
