Actually the Lakers used to only draft players who are supposedly fit for the triangle, e.g. B Cook, Walton, etc. The only exception, as I recall, is Von Wafer. But then Wafer was a headcase so he was cut.
Last year, all of a sudden, they pulled so many great trades and got Ariza and Pau. And they signed Josh in the off season. And if you just look at the team now, with a lot of young, long, slander, athletic types, you know that this team is stacked and has a great future.
