How much can highway noise reduce a house' value

I am tempted to buy a large single family house right beside a major highway. It is extremely noisy in the yard- just like thunders.

If a similar house in the same neighborhood worths $500K, how much does this house worth considering the noise? Actually big noise.

What other ways to compensate?

HOw much does it cost to construct barrier walls?

How effective is it to plant that kind of fast growing cypress trees?

Anyway, I am not going to live there.

Your advice will be highly appreciated.
