1. There is a shortage of permanent housing in *** County and housing units being converted to short term rentals is exacerbating this shortage.
2. The higher rate of return on short term housing is increasing the sale prices of homes which causes a decrease in the affordability of what housing stock is available on the for-sale market.
3. There is a meaningful quality of life difference between having neighbors who live there for a while, and neighbors who are only there for the evening. Even if those transient neighbors are lovely people, they will never be a part of your community.
