If I were a student applying to college, I would consider my passion for computer science to be an integral part of my background, identity, and interests. I have always been fascinated by the power of technology to solve complex problems and improve our lives, and I have been programming and tinkering with computers for as long as I can remember.
My interest in computer science began in middle school, when I took my first programming class and learned how to write simple programs in Python. I quickly became fascinated by the logical and creative challenges of computer programming, and I spent many hours outside of class exploring different programming languages and frameworks, and building my own projects and applications.
In high school, I continued to pursue my interest in computer science by taking advanced programming classes and participating in computer science competitions and clubs.
