Top spin touches ground at a larger angle therefore jump up higher afterward. If you ever serve with a lot of top spin (that is the most top spin one can generate) the ball will jump above receiver's shoulder or higher. Look at the 3rd figure! Pingpong is complete different than tennis because more spin and less friction cause different flight path.
