From an oral surgeon's perspective- it's ok to have wisdom teeth extracted under iv sedation. They serve no function in the mouth, we don't use them to chew. It can cause crowding, might damage to the adjacent teeth, difficult to clean because it's too far back. I would listen to the oral surgeon, because general dentists don't see the complications associated with impacted teeth, plus it might cause crowding, then you might have to redo the braces. I would listen to the orthodontist, it's ok to have premolars extracted and i would have all 8 of them extracted at the same time, should take about 45 minutes, it's not going to cause more pain or cause significant blood loss. Good luck!
