再普及一下，不是进每所藤校都需要大奖的(国家级)，需要大奖的只有如下的几个大藤:

再普及一下， 不是进每所藤校都需要大奖的(国家级)，需要大奖的只有如下的6所学校: 哈佛，耶尔，普林斯顿， 斯坦福，哥伦比亚 (其工程学院除外)和 MIT。

大奖包括: 所有乐器比赛的国家级奖， 能代表美国各领域(运动，音乐，学术，辩论，探讨)去参加比赛或会议的中学生。 能进入Siemens Competition, Intel science, 奥林匹克文数理化，拼字比赛的半决赛者。对于华裔来说，只有很小部分校友的孩子，新移民，或出身在其它国家的华裔如柬埔寨，老窝, 缅甸等，在没有大奖的情况下能进这6所名校。

除此之外,就算是学校第一名，学生会主席, 应届毕业生代表, SAT，ACT考满分，没有大奖也是基本进不了这6所大藤的。

注意一点，进大藤的高中生一般都不会告诉你他们是否拿到大奖。 一般家长都需要从学校应届辅导员那，或学校只有应届毕业生才能进的学校网站里才能得到这些信息。包括SAT的成绩，应届毕业生的去向, 在学校排名的百分比等。
