Thanks. Do you really think I need a lawyer?

He consulted lawyers last time and told me we had to split the house. I don't think he told them he was abusive to us. He said we had no evidence. But actually police should have records. When I went to the ER a couple of times they were suspicious but I lied for him. My older son and I lived in a shelter for a week and that would say it. I know I'll win but I don't want to upset him. He likes money so I thought I would give him the money instead of the lawyers. If he gets nothing, he'll be mad. I don't want my children and I to get hurt. I am not rich but my job is stable and my salary will be enough for me to continue paying for the house and living expenses. But it will be difficult when my older son goes to college. But I think I can handles it. I've learned not to depend on him all these years. I had to pass an important test even if he got mad me the previous night. I had to send my son to school and go to work even though we were living in a shelter. I can't afford losing my job. When he gets mad, he doesn't care about anything. He can curse his own mother let alone me. I just hope for a reasonable request on money from him for the divorce.
