回复：去Cornell还是Berkeley？ 请各位（特别是学工程的）的出出主意！

A true story: a year and half ago my family had a trip to California. On our way home, we drove through a remote area of Oregon and was stopped by a police officer for speeding. At the time, my son was the driver and we were rushing trying to avoid the snowing zone ahead of us. The officer saw my son wearing a shirt with Cornell name on it. He said "wow, a Cornelllian" and talked to us very friendly. He did not give him a ticket but reminded him to drive home safely. What I am trying to say is that the prestige of a school in the Chinese community and the rest of the nation may differ quite a bit.
