两人一起买房，一人出差，closing 那天签字的问题

好不容易约了一个ld在的时间 closing, 但是今天他发现那天又要出差。
我不好意思再改closing date了，问closing company这样的情况如何操作。
他们说，如果是cash offer，不需要我ld在场签字的，我一个人签字就可以。
当然seller一定是要签字的。
请问是这样吗？有没有什么风险？
