花了一些时间打电话，关于mortgage

1.我的买房agent介绍了一家mortgage broker, 说利率是3.5%, no points.15 yrs fixed, orignination fee: 1145.

（这家跟我电话，刚开始说不还价。后来主动来emai来说，利率可以微调，或者origination fee可以减少一点点，but cannot do both。不过因为她反复了一下，我决定自己shopping around 看看，于是有了下面的选项）

2.自己在网上找到一家公司，direct lender,没经过mortgage broker, 利率 2.99％，15 years fixed. no origination fee. no point. 

我的疑问是：如果我选择2（better deal），但是这家公司不是熟人介绍，不了解的lender公司，有什么风险需要考虑吗？还是说这行一般没什么风险和猫腻？
(以前也用过这两个选项以外的公司。当时都是急忙决定，所以没shopping around就做了决定)
