We are buying a bank owned home and the hot water valve under one of the sinks in master bathroom is shut off. Inspector recommended having a plumber check on it. Bank won't give us any money to fix non health and safety related problems. It's sold as is. My husband knows how to fix leaking problems under the sink. But do we need to have a plumber check it out before we purchse it? It's a newer home built in 2005. Please advise asap. Thanks a lot!

Have an inspector check the house. Don't need plumber.
