In our city, work application is signed by licensed engineer or licensed architect. They check for the code compliance, therefore city only accept their applications, definitely NOT contractors.

There is a small exception, however, home owner can submit application with contractor's signature on work permit application (note: NOT work application - 2 different thing)

LZ is asking about permit fee, NOT what contractor care about.- we talk about different things.
