比如说一千尺的地面,如果是正方的,每边是32尺.假如屋顶是45度,那么到顶尖的高度是16尺.但是要把它改成房间,至少要五尺高,而在屋顶下高于五尺的空间是(32-5-5)^2=480尺.这个做个套间(一大间带个小厅和浴室)不小了. 但是更可能的不是方的,而是40乘25. 这样一来可用的空间就是（40-10）乘（25-10）=450，小点，不过也差不多。

比较俭省的预算：

Walls 2k window+doors 1.5k floor 1.5k bathroom 4k(depends how difficult to connect water supply and drainline.) paint 1k misc 1k. Stairs 2k (don';t want to something looks bad). Not including any permit or inspection fees.

Total: 13k. 

That's a budget I would have to work really hard to get under control.
