The RE and finicial markets need 2-3 years to recover. During this period, a low interest rate is critical, and FEDs will simply do whatever to make this happen. The risk of inflation is overwhelmed by the possibility of recession if Feds don't cut rate deeply enoguh to maintain the money supply and encourage the conusmer spending. "Cheap" money will come to those people who has a job and is willing to spend. BTW this is my personal opinion.
