If your 401k is 20%, and regular acct is 0%，or vice versa, does this comparison mean anything?

Also, do you include bonds, cash?

By the way, if you really want to know your investment return, check your statement. The simple math calc like above is wrong, unless you are like bayfamily -- no new contribution, no match, and ALL contribution done in the beginning of the year.
