Avoid invest in Atlanta if you can

Statistics support that claim? Or you really just mean Atlanta has not experience the big bubble in last ten years?

CNN published some statistics some times ago. It indicated Atlanta population growth.

Either CNN has fake statistics or you have not survey the area deep enough?
