When it was at the peak (early 2007 and 2nd half of 2006), the way people bought house was similar to the way people fought for the limited rental housing in the Bay Area around 2000. You'd better bring the cash with you and make the purchase decision in several minutes by just a short glipse of the drawing of the floor plan. Otherwise, the sales will call "next!" Very funny.
