The current trend, i.e. dollar decline, emerging market/commodity boom is still on its way and will last at least for several years.

If you want to perserve value, you may have chance to flee dollar when it rebounds. You want to go to country to be weathier, not those to be poorer and stay flat. Having said that, it is not a bad idea to take Yuan.

But what hyperinflation means is malinvestment after malinvestment, bubble after bubble. You can also build wealth and hit home runs out of incoming crisis. That is what I will do but it requires strong tolerance of risks. for example, did you see what happened in alternative energy sector? It is not end but just a beginning.
