No, I tend to think Buffett is not going to like TOL (not even mention HOV), but I could be wrong, as usual. Residential home builders are very cyclical business, which is slightly different from USG (its customer base is much broader). Buffett tends to buy companies with extraordinary long-term economics at reasonable price. Toll Brothers might not be strong enough to qualify that extraordinary long-term economics...
That said, I like TOL partly because the people I have dealt with from this company. Somehow they managed to collect a bunch of honest, nice, good-hearted people. I think this is very important for home building business.
Disclaim: I don't own any TOL stocks and I have no other interest in this company as of today (of course I reserve the right to change this statement anytime from now :-).
Seriously, if you are interested in building your own home, I would recommend TOL to you (but again not the stock).
