You should mentiopn 2 romms in your lease (section 1 A.  So if it is not on it, you are in trouble. 

Who prepared the lease for you?  your co-worker?  Need witness...

Since it is month to month, you can give them thirty notice for either signing a new lease or moving-out. 

the really question is how to deal with them in that thirty days?  if they threaten you and ask you move out, you have no leagal base to stay. 

Your hope is your witness who can stand out when they call police and move your out.

In many case, when you have the key and occupy a room the the property, police will not threw you out.  But you need good arguement for that.
