Sometimes we intentionally broke the 铜管 (stem), then you can use socket (a special tool to buy from Lowes) to remove the stem out. Just replace the whole stem which can be bought from Lowes too for less than $15. There are many different stems depending on the brand name of faucet.
We have done this many times.
