Smartkey ... dead

以前有人讲过kwikset的smartkey不太好用,会坏.

今天碰到了.

rekey 失败,只有把锁芯取出来.但是reset cradle 也失败，还有破坏。

OK, everything can be solved by duct tape ... or a hammer. Finally got the cylidner out. as shown in the picture.

The problem as it can be shown is the broken piece that sets the depth of a lock adapting to the key teeth.

So, it is not as solid as before, if not re-key correctly, the first time, it can broken.

Not sure if I can ask for a refund ... :(
