Future growth is the essential fundamental for DCA to work. In the no growth era, for example Japan's lost 30 yrs maybe 40 years, US's coming lost 20 yrs, DCA won't work as well as many people think. however, with massive manipulation of all asset class, people who think that they are smarter could do even worse, with high probability of being wiped out one time by playing with sharks in the tank.

With FED turns every body into speculators (average holding period dropped to less than 1 yr instead of 15 yrs in 1960s), old school theories arenput to test.

Who can prosper? The ones who can supply their own food. LOL ...
