If your window won't stay up, all you have to do is to tighten the sash balance springs or replace the springs if they break. You can order them online.I ordered them lately at http://www.swisco.com/. When you order, make sure to match the type and the length of the springs .To learn how to replace, go to youtube and type "window sash balance".
