求教关于basement

basement有walkout的门，想把地毯换掉，HomeDepot的建议换vinyl,反对用 laminate，但vinyl很薄很薄，走在上面恐怕不舒服吧， 下面可是水泥啊，而且不便宜，要1.69/sq feet。用便宜的laminate （7mm）的只要0.69-0.99per sq feet,但HomeDepot讲laminate不宜用在basement，不防水。

请教这里的高人，该如何处理妥当？
