How much for Security Deposit from Section 8 people?

This is my first time trying out with section people.

I asked for one month rent ($1800) as secirity deposit. The lady said she can only pay $500. She told me she can pay $100 extra per month as security deposit until I get the full amount. That means it'll take over a year to get the total of $1800 security deposit I am asking for.

How much does everybody ask for security deposit from Section 8 people? Do Section 8 people usually pays less for security deposit?
