新手求教：如何对付vandalism?

刚签约的房子， 正准备做房检，突然被告知房子被人破坏，窗子砸了个大窟窿，室内的铜管被割走，干墙被破坏，真让人气愤。还好房子没有过户，维修费用由卖方支付。只是担心过户后，我怎样才能防止他们的闯入？我可能需要２周的时间作装修，然后再出租。请各位前辈多赐教！
