请支招：买short sale房子，现在的房主要搬家 after closing date， 怎么办？

我儿子第一次买房，已给了offer。房主原来说6月中旬搬出去， 他们可以closing房子6月下旬。儿子刚刚接到房产经纪人电话，说现房主要租的房子要到7月中旬才能搬。

我儿子说就让他们住半个多月吧。他意思先closing，让现房主再继续住。他觉得他们也挺可怜的。

我觉得这样做有麻烦。请大家支招。 先谢了。
