However, the author did not mention that a few months later, Bill Gross said that betting against US debt was one of his biggest mistakes ever:

And not only did the U.S. not collapse, the Dow Jones in fact rose more than 1,000 points from the time of the article to market close yesterday: March 11, 2011: 12,044 April 5, 2012: 13,060
I myself bought a bond fund that invests in long term U.S. Treatury in 2011 (PRULX). As of yesterday, it generated more than 13% return for me. It is not the greatest return in the world, but it is certainly not the collapse predicted by a certain prophet.
And, as far as the prediction: 美国离最后倒台的日子不会太远了！
It's been more than 1 year since this prediction came out, and I am still waiting.
