We have already claimed her as our dependent

in our Federal and State returns. Just sent our tax returns out tonight! We also helped out with our daughter's tax returns. She has no time/interest doing this. It is not fun. I just in the mean time did some google search. college students are still resident of their home states. They have to file the home state tax return. In our case, my daughter has to file MA tax return as a non-resident.

I hope my understanding is correct. Maybe I am really stuck with these damn tax issues...
