almost nothing can catch up the growth of gold price in recent years. What I meant in the previous post was for the whole timeframe in the picture. starting from 1000gm and ending up with 1000gm.

我原文说的黄金是perservation不是investing，和你说的几乎完全一样。而且，更进一步，我也完全同意你说的投资的风险。

我的判断和定义，投资不一定在回报和风险上优于黄金。投资的不同在于它能创造价值和财富，而黄金不能。所以，房子有租金，股票有dividend, 而黄金都没有。黄金是靠吸收多余的资金，或者惊恐逃窜的资金。风险也不少。
