I don't think I need to check her credit by myself because I used the mysmartmove.com's screening service.  I guess your suggestion (tax report and bank statements) is very good -- let me try this way. But not sure how to avoid her personal information when we ask the information like this (let her mark out her SSN? And now the TAX report and bank statements are most likely electronical ones, how can we prove the docs or printed papers are her true reports?).
