买房贷款可以帮人co sign吗

比如说 A 要买房但是贷不下款或贷不下足够的款，而B的综合能力强。那B可以放自己名字上A的贷款申请吗？B 不会放自己名字在A要买的房子上，只是一起贷款。这可能吗？当然贷下来后自然是A 每月还贷。
