如何对待替别人 cosigned debt 的租房申请人

我的申请人有一个10K  的debt没有在申请表中提及。他后来解释是他母亲的debt,他只是cosigner.大家怎么看cosigned debt?是全算到这个申请人上吗？Even if this is the worst case, that indeed could happen if the primary debt hold can not pay the loan.

请大家帮忙出个主意。谢了！
