空调不制热，修理工说coil漏freon，还能修不？

我们空调是96年的，在去年夏天买下房子时就发现漏光了freon、不制冷。当时找了个老墨加上9磅freon，好了。过几天再试，仍然制冷，但没试制热。现在tenant说不制热，找另一个technician去看了，说缺freon，而且coil有泄露，已无法修理，必须整个更换，Trane品牌连空调unit带配件、labor要价$4950+tax。

无论怎么说这都是一大笔钱，能省肯定要省，所以请教大家这种coil泄露的问题真的没法修么？

必须换的话，不到1500尺面积配一个2.5ton HVAC应该够了吧。这种空调连设备带人工要价$4950合理不？

我们有Old Republic的Home Warranty，最basic那种。看policy的意思好像是说AC unit最多只赔到$1500，超出部分就不负责了。不知我有没有理解对。
