在加州，PM是否需要执照？或条件？

有远方的朋友到我们这地方买房，想要我们帮忙照顾房子的出租。

之前，我们只管理自己的投资房，没有房产经纪人的执照，也没靠挂公司，合法吗?

朋友的信任，难以推辞啊。
