1. you can say NO to the tenant. You may lose this tenant.
2. Partially repaint for common area, not all places. tenant may stay, less cost. - I like this.
3. provide painting, let the tenant to repaint.- glad if tenant would like to do.
4. repaint all home, high cost. I won't choose option if condition is not too bad, too expensive.
You need talk with tenant to find the best way to compromise each other. Remember you are the boss, not tenant.
Blame hubby doesn't change anything except discourage him.
