My first experience with Apple, doing BASIC in 少年宫. God, 27 years ago?
Just had some rough days lately. This brings me back to those years...
In college, VAX-11? Then work station in later years, Sun, HP a little later.
8086/88, assembly language. We needed to design and implement our own CPU on "bread board" in summer. Later there were 286, 386, 486, Pentium...
PowerPC, before that there was an even older version. At my first (and only) job, we needed to implement our software into both PC and Mac versions. Mac OS 7.6, 8, 9 (9.1, 9.2, 921, 922)... Then there came the OS X, I call it cats: Puma, Jaguar... Tiger is X.4? I was in SF for WWDC, it's pain in ... to keep up with Apple, everything kept changing, being introduced, deprecated...
You know what, it's more Mac OS anymore. Later, the chip became Intel, not Apple anymore either. So obviously, it's just the Apple skin... They are so freaking good at marketing, branding, and selling... Put a player together with a HD, call it iPod. That IMO totally brought Apple back.
