don't worry, it happens often...

1. call your insurance agent ASAP.

2. if the attorney call you, just tell them your insurance company will handle it from here, DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTION!!!!

3. after your agent turn in the report, your insurance will have an adjustor call you.

4. depends on the claim, usually insurance company will try to settle it for 5-10k without going to court.

5. if both side can't come to agreement, your insurance will assigne an attorney to represent you at insurance company's cost.

6. it can be a full blood battle, but don't worry, it would not cost you a dime.

 

bottom line is, DO NOT ADMIT ANY WRONG DOING, WHETHER ITS YOUR FAULT OR NOT!!!

otherwise your insurance may refuse your claim, because you fail to let them defend the you on your behalf.
