You must prove that you have high deductible medial insurance

You must prove that you have high deductible medial insurance in order to make hsa expense tax free; otherwise, the expense should be taxed.

When you file the tax return, you probably didn't claim that you have high deductibel insurance plan, if you do and follow strictly the tax rule, the hsa expense will be tax free in the end. However, if your medical insurance is not high deductible, it will be treated normal income and taxed.
