rental 问题. 我该怎么办?

刚读到下面:
It's true that "Rental income 对冲 rental expenses, such as rental mortgage, tax, insurance,repairs, management fees, association fees, depreciation...and all other rental activities associated expenses".

我现在旧房子mortgage已经付清.全部贷款都在新房子上.旧房想出租,没有mortgage岂不是白给Uncle Sam交税吗?我该重新贷款(旧屋)吗?
