等你收到新的court date的通知，你尽管上庭就好了。
这种eviction的小case，没有多少lawyer会接，跟你的deadbeat耗上半天在法院，才收几百刀，没多少人愿意干。只要你证据充足，有documentations，该做的你也做了，你自己跟deadbeat上庭就好了，反正事实是deadbeat没有交租。如果不放心，出庭的当天到会有些intern lawyers提供免费法律咨询，你可以consult他们。
反正你只要follow the law, 做了你该做的，没什么大不了的，believe in yourself and trust the juridical system that would give you a fair judgement.
我这几年里，和房客上了3次庭，我都赢了。最近一次把国人房客为125刀的垃圾费告了上庭，国人房客最后一个月没交租，走后留了一大堆垃圾在sidewalk上，town的trash pickup没给拿走，还叫房东24小时内要把垃圾处理掉，我只好找private trash company把垃圾拿走，写了信给国人房客，付上invoice，叫他们付125刀，国人房客给我留了言，说“这不关我们的事，你有上court，没问题，我们跟你奉陪到底”。本来想自己人，就算了吧，but later on I realize that I have to do something about it and let them know that there is a law in this country. And I have to protect my own interests and teach them a lesson. Otherwise they would do the same thing to the future landlords. 我就把垃圾的照片和写给他们的信做为证据，把国人房客告上庭，法官根据事实 （they left the trash behind), 判我赢了。
只要你有证据和事实，你是按照法律程序做的，上庭没什么可怕的。
