tech company was doing remote deposit for financial institute for business clients, it works through a scanner placed on client's desk. Photo check and deposit looks like MITK's turf, other company are either partnering with MITK or license from it. But I do not know how big a moat it is. I think there is not a big worry for big company like HP to get in, since it is a small market. The most important question is which one Chase is using, I know paypal is using MITK.
