Rental issues - 请老地主们帮忙

I have a SFH rented to a lady for several years.  The lease agreement said that she should pay on the 1st, and no later than the 5th.  If she cannot make it, a $50 fine will be charged.

However, i never received the check on the 5th. She always mails the check on 5th, and when I receive it, usually it is 1 or 2 days late. Since we do not want any trouble, so we just let it go. However, it does not feel good every time when it is rent collection day.:(

This month, I haven't see the check yet, and it is 9th already.  We even sent her email reminder this 1st.

If you were in my shoes, what will you do without hurting badly the relationship?
