My friend rented her house to an Africa American family. She asked me to take care of the property since she moved back to China. Her tenants email or call me almost every week for little small things. When they complain there was spider, i did pest control. They broke several new items like microwave. Finally, we don't want do whatever they ask and told them that we are not responsible for repair for any careless use.
Then I received an email from the tenants and they hired an attorney. I am wondering what I could I do for my friends since they are not in US. Do i have any responsibility if there is any law sue? Thank you!
