I've been watching DRN for the past couple of months. I've seen DRN going up more than 10% in one day a few times.
It appears to be a good real estate investment. It's 3X and if you use margin (assume 2x), then you get 6x. That's like putting down 16.7% down payment and borrowing 83.3% (more than you can get from lenders). I believe most lenders will require at least 20% if you buy a real estate property.
DRN pays dividend every 3 months. That equals to rent income.
DRN's liquidation beats real estate easily.
DRN charges manage fees but you have to pay management company if you are landlord or you have to manage it yourself, right?
Conclusion: investing DRN beats the crap out of buying houses.
