I am thinking of buysing some investing property : 1) to diversify my investiment 2) rental property mortgage can have tax advantage due to my primary mortgage balance is too small and I may pay lot of tax.
But looking around the housing market on redfin on some condo, the cash flow is negative mostly e.g. $250K condo can only rent for $1200/month, HOA fee $400/month, tax $200/month... Have not done any research on SFH so far...
Anyone has any suggestion on seattle area: SFH is better ? or condo is better ? or all the investing property is not profitable here ? or here we should focus on appreciation instead of cash flow ?
