depends on your target

If the area is close to university condo is a better option. If it is close to offices single family is better option. I did a calculation the rental return for condo is a little higher since the price is significantly lower than single family. But single family might have more appreciation over the years. i looked at single families for a year then started to think i should buy a condo. cheap and i dont need to maintain it.
